Venue: University of Alicante

The University of Alicante, as the coordinator of the INDOEDUC4ALL project, hosted the Kick-off Meeting and the first Study Visit of the project from the 8th until the 11th of May.
During the Kick-off Meeting the participants discussed about the key issues of the project, from its concept to its implementation. Project objectives and work packages were described in details so that the partners could better understand the project activities and they could be aware about their roles and responsibilities at their home institutions. All participants showed their commitments in the project and each one of them explained how he is ready to contribute to the project and to produce high quality outputs. This meeting aimed at solving any kind of doubts partners could have. Indeed, participants received all the information they needed to start the INDOEDUC4ALL project implementation. This meeting was also very useful as it allowed all partners to have a first face-to-face contact and to interact with each other. This is really important to ensure an effective cooperation during the lifecycle of the project.

Since EU partners are sharing their common Good Practices, they invited Indonesian Partner Universities and NGO to visit their institutions. The first Study Visit took place at the University of Alicante during these days.  Thus, Rectors for Students Affairs, professors and international project offices managers participated in a high visit profile of the University of Alicante Students with disabilities Support Centre in order to identify good practices and potential actions they could replicate in their own Universities. The Study Visit purpose was to help Indonesian partners discovering and understanding a new approach on how to tackle disability within top level managerial staff.

Consequently, this first INDOEDUC4ALL activity was a good start for the project since it set solid basis towards the achievement of relevant and sustainable results.
