During the last 4 months, Indonesian HEI partners of the INDOEDUC4ALL project have been working on the elaboration, drafting and publication of their own Strategic Plans for their Student Support Centers & Disability Internal Policies. The collaborative elaboration of these strategic plans is still an ongoing process in which contributions from all Indonesian HEI stakeholders are being considered and incorporated into the document. At the same time, European partners are monitoring the process by reviewing every step and providing feedback to increase the impact and scope of the strategic plans.

The elaboration started at the beginning of 2018 by gathering teams, students, academic members and administrative staff from each student support center. At this first stage, individuals participated in collaborative discussion in which they reflected on the role within their institutions, mission, vision and values of their unit, drawing upon input from very  different actors.

Afterwards and at the second stage, Student Support Centers teams engaged and analyzed together to frame a SWOT analysis which specifies Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats in order to design strategies adjusted to the internal capacity of the organization and its external competitive position.

Finally, the INDOEDUC4ALL project members are working on the framing of strategic actions in order to design tasks to improve the activity and performance of the Student Support Centers in order to further develop their services portfolios to foster an inclusive education environment in their Higher Education Institutions.

This 3 year Strategic Plan is one of the deliverables foreseen in WP3 Creation or Refreshment of Modern Disabled Support Centres within the framework of the Ensuring Access and Quality Education for Students with Disabilities in Indonesian Universities” (INDOEDUC4ALL), which is co-financed by the European Commission through the Erasmus + programme.
